It has been said that our “biography becomes our biology.” Techniques learned at a Wellness Paths workshop can help us to change our stories to positively impact our health as we acknowledge and expand our connections while creating healthier versions of ourselves.

Many researchers believe that at least 70 - 80% of all illness is related to stress. Some believe that a full 100% of all disease (“dis-ease”) is stress-related! The World Health Organization calls stress a "global epidemic." Lifestyle trends are major contributors to our levels of perceived stress as we rush to do more with less time. We can perhaps be described as a nation of "human-doings" rather than "human- beings."

Knowledge is power - reducing “dis-ease” using effective coping skills and relaxation techniques learned in a Wellness Paths workshop can help to both heal and prevent disease and illness while promoting increased enjoyment of life. In addition to education, Wellness Paths workshops also provide a sense of community and the opportunity for reflection that promotes self-discovery and wellness.
